Ocean City Postpones Fireworks Display Until Saturday

Posted: Updated:

OCEAN CITY, Md. - Ocean City has decided to reschedule their fireworks shows, due to weather. The beach town says they will be postponing both fireworks celebrations, one held at Northside Park and the other in the area of N. Division Street and the beach, until Saturday, July 5th.

Town Officials say the possibility of rain and strong winds on Thursday night into Friday morning is what led to the decision, as they don't think there would be enough time to set up the show.

Celebrations will start at Saturday at 8:00 PM at both locations, with fireworks set the launch starting at 9:30 PM.

The $50 flat rate for all day parking at the inlet, will now be upheld on Saturday. Late additions can arrive at 3:00 PM and pay just $30. Both these prices all only a one time entry.

The Route 50 drawbridge will be closed to marine traffic from 10:00 until 11:00 PM, to help alleviate traffic congestion.
