National gaming numbers are tracked and reported in the latest edition of Fantini Researchs National Revenue report, just released.
(PRWEB) July 02, 2014
American casinos continued their slow and steady recovery in May, growing revenues for the first time since November, the last time revenues rose nationally both overall and same-store.
Even factoring out Nevada, which had a strong May partly thanks to playing lucky at the tables and a surge in baccarat along the Strip, the comparisons were the best this year.
Of course, better doesnt necessarily mean good. In fact, regional casino revenues still declined 0.46 percent from last year, and 3.78 percent factoring out new casinos.
And May had one more weekend date than last year.
Further, subtract Strip resort baccarat win, and numbers were down 0.9 percent in Nevada and 0.4 percent nationally.
Still, there is no doubting the improvement.
