DOVER, Del. - Delaware State Police say 3 people were injured, including a young girl, in a single vehicle crash south of Dover Air Force Base just after 4:00pm on Tuesday.

According to police, a 2009 Honda Civic was traveling southbound on Bay Road and, for unknown reasons, swerved into the center median where it struck an embankment and rolled over into the northbound lanes.

The driver, 17-year-old Satchel Edeen, and one passenger, a 9-year-old girl, were ejected.

They were not properly restrained.

The child and another 18-year-old female passenger who was properly restrained, were taken to the hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver, Edeen, is listed in fair condition and was cited for numerous violations.
