Cause Of Pittsville Portable Toilet Fire Under Investigation

PITTSVILLE, Md. - A fire in a portable toilet at a park in Pittsville, is under investigation.

The Maryland State Fire Marshal's Office says on Saturday morning, around 4:15 AM, fire crews responded to a fire at a portable toilet at the Pittsville Playground, at the intersection of Railroad Avenue, and Collins Street.

According to the report, it took five Pittsville firefighters, five minutes to control to blaze. Officials say the fire, that caused $450 in damages, was found by a neighbor. At this time, both the cause and where it started are under investigation.
