DNREC Announces $6.9M For DE Bayshore

MILFORD, Del. - Nearly two years after Superstorm Sandy left her mark on the East Coast some needed dollars are heading to the First State to protect the bayshore.

DNREC and state leaders announced $6.9 million will be used in order to help fund projects to minimize coastal flooding and improve wetland and beach habitats.

The project is expected to restore lands including the Mispillion Harbor and Milford Neck Conservation Area, restoring more than fifteen thousand acres of tidal marshes and wetlands, and more than three miles of shoreline.
