New Health Care Center Opens At Perdue

SALISBURY, Md. - A new healthcare center is now open for business for Perdue employees.

The new Wellness Center officially opened up today at the Perdue AgriBusiness complex. Officials tell 47 ABC: more than 350 workers in the area covered by the company's plan will use the facility.

"What we've done at Perdue is we focused on the people and said, 'how do we make people the healthiest we can possibly do?' and we found that providing appropriate primary care and health and wellness programs that help people have healthier lifestyles," said Roger Merrill, M.D., the chief medical officer at Perdue. "Those two things have driven the welfare of our associates up in the past 10 years."

The new center is one of 15 for the company, the fourth on the Peninsula.
