DELMAR, Del. - Police have identified the two people involved in a fatal motorcycle crash, that happened Thursday night in Delmar.

According to Delaware State Police, shortly after 10:00 PM Thursday night, 60-year-old John English. of Delmar was riding his motorcycle on Sussex Highway just north of Iron Hill Road when police believe a car may have pulled in front of the motorcycle, causing the driver to lock the brakes and lay down the bike to avoid contact. Both English and his 48-year-old female passenger, Lisa Boothe, of Delmar, were reportedly thrown from the bike and Boothe was partially run over by a Honda Accord traveling Northbound on Route 13.

Police says Boothe was pronounced dead at the scene and while English was taken to PRMC, where he is listed in serious condition. According to reports, neither of them was wearing a helmet. The operator of the Honda Accord, 32-year-old Richard Jones, of Delmar, was properly restrained and uninjured.

Police say alcohol is believed to be a factor on behalf of the motorcycle operator.
