House Fire on Old Bridge Road in West Ocean City, MD
WORCESTER COUNTY, Md. - Two house fires, burning around the same time Thursday night, had fire crews from Berlin to Selbyville, Delaware working hard to get things under control.
An Ocean City spokesperson tells 47 ABC one of the houses that went up in flames was located in West Ocean City on Old Bridge Road. It was just a few buildings away from the Diakonia shelter. Flames apparently caused extensive damage to the multi-family residential property.
The second house fire was in Showell, Maryland, where flames ripped through the waterfront home on Riverview Drive.
Fire crews on the scene could not say whether or not anyone was home at either location, when the fires broke out. The Worcester County Fire Marshall's office is handling both investigations. As of Thursday evening, investigators could not confirm how extensive the damages are, or what may have caused either fire.
