2 Car Crash Kills One and Sends Young Girl To Hospital

Dorchester Co., MD - A 2 vehicle crash in Dorchester County claimed the life of one woman and sends a young girl to the hospital.

Maryland State Police report that around 4:30pm on Tuesday June 24, 53 year old Jaqueline Cephas was stopped at a work zone on MD 577 near Oak Grove Road when a 1995 Cadillac driven by 28 year old Joseph Lee Miqueli struck Cephas's 2007 Kia. The force of the crash caused the Kia to overturn.

Cephas was pronounced dead at the scene. Miqueli was not injured in the crash. A 7 year old girl in the Cadillac was sent to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford.

The crash is under investigation.
