Fatal Pedestrian Crash Under Investigation In Dover

DOVER, Del. - Police in Dover say they are investigating a fatal early morning pedestrian accident.

Dover Police say around 3:50 AM on Tuesday, Officers responded to a car crash on Route 13 at Webbs Lane, where a woman was hit by a vehicle in the intersection.

Police say the 28-year-old woman, whose identity is being withheld, pending the notification to next of kin, was trying to cross the intersection when she was fatally struck by a vehicle driving Southbound on Route 13. The victim was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene. Police have not charged the driver at this time.

The investigation into this incident by the Dover Police Department's Accident Reconstruction Team is reportedly continuing. Anyone with information about this accident is asked to contact Dover Police at 302-736-7111.
