Shorebirds Take Series Opener vs. Power

Salisbury, MD - The Delmarva Shorebirds won their third straight game Monday night with a 5-1 win over the Power. Hunter Harvey got the start for the Shorebirds, and was great on the mount, pitching 6 innings, while giving up just one run.

The Shorebirds grabbed the lead in the first when Chance Sisco delivered a two RBI single to left. The power would come back to make it a one run game in the top of the second and the teams would be locked there til the 5th where Jeff Kemp came through with a two out RBI single. The Shorebirds would add two more runs on the night and hold on for the win.

The Shorebirds and Power continue their series on Tuesday evening. Right-hander Luc Rennie (2-6, 6.25) will start for Delmarva against right-hander Buddy Borden (3-5, 3.48) for West Virginia. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm at Perdue Stadium.
