Salisbury, MD.- The Salisbury University Men's Basketball Team took a little time out of their summer break to host the Sea Gull Basketball Camp at James M. Bennett High School starting Monday.
The camp is meant to teach kids the basic skills of basketball, Head Coach Josh Merkel said, "They're not going to become LeBron James in a week but if we can help them with their fundamentals, so they can work on it all summer, then we think its gonna help them with their self confidence and basketball."
The clinic boasts some of SU's best players and coaches teaching the basics of dribbling, passing, bounce passing, chest passing, and shooting. "I cant wait to get out there tomorrow, because their might be a big crowd, and I just cant wait" said Brayden Caulder, age 6. "College players are tough and cool" he said.
The four day camp kicks off again at 9 am tomorrow and last thru Thursday.
