WICOMICO CO., Md. - A contractor has been sentenced, after being found guilty on theft scheme charges. On Monday, a jury convicted 41-year-old David Suire of theft scheme of an amount between $1,000 and $10,000, theft $1,000 to $10,000, and theft less than $1,000.

Suire, who operated a home improvement company, was hired by two women for a job in Hebron. While Suire was completing the home improvements, he reportedly stole two checks from their checkbook. Then in April 2013 Suire filled out the dollar amount, and made the check out to his girlfriend, who then cashed the checks. The total amount stolen was $1,534.

Suire was then sentenced to 10 years in the custody of the Division of Corrections, consecutive to any sentence he is currently serving. Suire apparently has a major record, which included previous convictions of forgery, counterfeit private documents, issuing false documents, and theft less than $1,000. He was previously sentenced to 20 years for those crimes.
