Posted: Updated:

WALLOPS ISLAND, Va. - The launch of a rocket headed for the International Space Station, has been delayed.

Officials with Orbital Sciences say they will launch the Antares rocket, no earlier than July 10th. Earlier in June, the launch was slated for no earlier than July 1st. The rocket will be the second of eight scheduled missions, to the ISS with supplies.

The team is reportedly still investigating what caused a AJ26 engine to fail during testing at another facility. The decision to proceed is expected to be made this week. Officials say every other aspect of the project is ready to go.
