GEORGETOWN, Del. - A close call for a truck driver in Georgetown, after a funny smell led him to pull over.

Delaware State Police say around 12:00 PM on Monday, the driver of a lumber truck smelled something strange while driving on Deer Forest Drive near Route 113, and pulled over. The engine of the rig was reportedly on fire, due to a mechanical issue.

Area fire departments responded, and put out the blaze. There were no injuries reported. Officials say that one lane of Route 113 was closed while crews were on scene, but has since reopened.
