Installation Of New Traffic Signal To Cause Lane Closures In Dover

DOVER, Del. - Heads up to drivers in the First State.

Starting Monday June 23rd at 9 AM, expect some day-time road closures on Route 8, near the new Dover High School.

For the next two weeks,  Del-DOT will be installing a new High-intensity Activated Crosswalk, also called "HAWK," which is supposed to make crossing the street safer.

Work is scheduled to go from 9 AM to 3 PM, Monday through Friday, and should be operational by the start of the new school year.
