Pocomoke Man Convicted On Drug Dealing Charges

SALISBURY, Md. - A convicted Pocomoke drug dealer will spend nearly two decades behind bars.

On Tuesday, 45-year-old Anthony Deshields, was convicted by a jury of distributing cocaine to undercover police officers back in October 2013. On October 16th, 2013, Deshields sold Maryland State Police Troopers $40 worth of crack cocaine.

The Wicomico County Circuit Court has sentenced Deshields to 18 years in the Division of Corrections.

This arrest was one by the Safe Streets initiative, where the Salisbury Police Department, and MSP, partnered with the Worcester County Task Force to fight street level drug sales in Salisbury.
