Salisbury Man Charged With Theft Of A Motor Vehicle

SALISBURY, Md. - Police say they have arrested a Salisbury man, after her allegedly stole a vehicle from an acquaintance.

The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office says around 2:05 AM, a Deputy responded to an apartment complex on Beaglin Park Drive, for reports of a stolen vehicle. The Deputy met with the victim, who reported that he discovered that his vehicle was missing from the parking lot, when he went to grab something out of it.

Police say while the Deputy was on scene, the missing vehicle pulled back into the parking lot, and as the Deputy approached, the driver fled. According to the report, the driver was able to elude the Deputy, until the Deputy found him in a nearby apartment complex and arrested him.

The victim reportedly knew the driver, 18-year-old Kenneth Bonner, as he had been at his apartment earlier in the evening. Bonner was charged with motor vehicle theft, and held at the Wicomico County Detention Center on $10,000 bond.
