UPDATE: Maryland Man Arrested For Dover Bank Robbery

Posted: Updated:

DOVER, Del. - Police say a Facebook post, has led to the arrest of a Maryland man, in connection to a Dover bank robbery.

Dover Police say on Tuesday, they released new photos of a robbery at the Dover Federal Credit Union that happened on May 16th. Those new photos brought in a tip on the Dover PD Facebook page, that led to the arrest of 47-year-old Lloyd Morrison Jr., of New Carrollton, MD.

Officials say the tipster reportedly recognized Morrison as a visitor at the Dover Downs Hotel and Casino. Police say they found Morrison at that establishment, and arrested him just after 10:00 AM on Wednesday. Morrison's vehicle, a red Subaru Forester, was also reportedly found in the parking lot. A search of the SUV reportedly revealed evidence from the robbery.

Morrison has been charged with one count of attempted robbery 2nd degree. Bond information, and a mug shot, were not immediately available.
