Easton Police Investigate Hit And Run Crashes

Posted: Updated:

EASTON, Md. - The Easton Police Department says they made an arrest after two hit and run crashes yesterday.

According to reports, the first was called in on Aurora Street as several people awoke to a crashing sound. An unknown vehicle had reportedly struck a parked car and fled the scene.

Police say several minutes later, another crash was called in on Hemlock Lane. At that scene, police reportedly found a small tree and light pole had been damaged. Hubcaps and vehicle parts reportedly remained at each scene to help identify the suspect's vehicle which had left the scenes.

Within a few minutes, police say they located the suspect's vehicle parked at a residence at the end of Hemlock. The driver, 23-year-old Kaitlyn Davis of Easton was reportedly confronted about her part in operating her vehicle. Police say Davis was blaming fatigue as the cause.

Davis was reportedly charged with six counts of various charges covering leaving the scene of an accident, two counts of failure to control speed, two counts of negligent and one count of reckless driving.
