GEORGETOWN, Del. - A Georgetown woman was arrested, after apparently unknowingly making prostitution arrangements with a Police Officer. Georgetown Police say they received a tip that 29-year-old Amy Jean Taylor was soliciting prostitution within the Town's corporate limits.

On Wednesday, around 12:30 AM, an undercover Police Officer contacted Taylor through text message, in order to try and verify the tip. Police say Taylor answered, and set up a deal, sexual acts in exchange for money, with a meet up at the Classic Motel. According to the report, Taylor told the Officer that she was walking down DuPont Boulevard and would meet them in a room at the Motel.

Surveillance units reportedly found Taylor, who was walking with 44-year-old Deborah Wells, of Georgetown, on DuPont Boulevard in the area of North Bedford Street extended, and took both women into custody.

Police say Taylor's phone showed the conversation between her and the undercover officer, so she was charged with prostitution and released on a criminal summons with a future court date. Wells was found to be wanted by the Sussex County Court of Common Pleas, and was transported there, before being released with new arraignment dates.
