BERLIN, Md. - After a two week search, a wanted fugitive is finally behind bars. The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation says on Tuesday, the Maryland State Apprehension Team arrested 24-year-old Orion Conway, of Berlin, in Ocean Pines.

Police say Conway led investigators on a quick foot chase, before he was taken into custody. According to the report, Conway resisted arrest, and assaulted one of the Officers at the scene. The law enforcement officer was reportedly not injured during the assault.

Police say Conway had been on the lam for the past two weeks. He has been charged with burglary 2nd degree, conspiracy burglary 2nd degree, theft $1,000 to under $10,000, malicious destruction of property over $1,000, assault 2nd degree, and theft $10,000 to under $100,000.

WCBI says a county wide investigation lead to this arrest, a joint effort between the Maryland State Police, Worcester County Sheriff's Office, and Berlin Police Department.
