Two 13-year-olds Charged With Attempted Robbery

NEWARK, Del. (AP) - New Castle County Police have charged two 13-year-old boys with assaulting and trying to rob an 11-year-old of his cellphone.
It happened about 6:45 p.m. Monday in Newark. Police say the 11-year-old was walking on Kelston Drive when the two teenagers began to follow him.
Officers say the teenagers began assaulting the boy and tried to take his cellphone. Police say a passer-by intervened and the teens ran away.
The victim was treated and released at a local hospital.
After an investigation, police arrested the two teenagers. They are charged with assault, attempted robbery, and other offenses.
