Millsboro Man Charged After Alleged Overdose

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Police in Georgetown say they arrested a Millsboro man, after he nearly overdosed on drugs.

Georgetown Police say on Friday around 12:20 PM, they were called to room 140 the Classic Motel, to assist emergency medical personnel, for reports of a possible overdose. Once Officers arrived on scene, they found that 22-year-old Kyle Kolmodin, who had apparently overdoses on heroin. Kolmodin was rushed to Beebe Emergency Room, for medical attention.

Police say in the motel room, Officers discovered hypodermic needles, empty wax paper baggies and wax paper baggies that contained .105 grams of heroin. On Saturday, Kolmodin was released from the hospital, and arrested for possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He is being held at Sussex Correctional Institute on bond. Kolmodin was also ordered to have a no contact order with the corporate limits of Georgetown, except for future court appearances.
