Salisbury, MD.- The Delmarva Shorebirds dropped their second straight game to the Lakewood BlueClaws on Saturday night, in Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.
After giving up one run in the top of the first, the Shorebirds answered back with two runs in the bottom of the frame. Drew Dosch reached base on a fielder's choice, plating Mike Yastrzemski and tying the game. The next batter, Trey Mancini, would ground into a double play, bringing in Federico Castagnini. Delmarva would hold a 2-1 lead after one.
Orioles pitcher Tommy Hunter would take the mound for Delmarva in the second. In his rehab start, Hunter would strike out two and hit one batter in one inning of work, leaving after the side was retired in the second.
The BlueClaws would get an RBI single out of Jiandido Tromp in the fifth inning, tying the game 2-2. The score would remain tied at 2 until Willians Astudillo's 2-RBI double in the top of the 10th would give the BlueClaws that they would not relinquish.
The final game of the series is Sunday afternoon, first pitch scheduled for 2:05 p.m.
