MD Fugitive Arrested After Hiding Out In Louisiana

Posted: Updated:

BERLIN, Md. - Maryland State Police say a fugitive was arrested in Louisiana yesterday.

According to reports, at around 6:30 AM on Friday, Maryland State Police Berlin Barracks received an anonymous call in reference to a fugitive that was hiding out in Louisiana and staying at Jack's Motel in Golden Meadow, Louisiana.

Police say the fugitive was identified as Ronald Flawd, 49. They reportedly subsequently verified the warrants and found the information to be accurate. Police say Flawd was wanted for violation of probation in Maryland and also had outstanding warrants in Pennsylvania.

The Maryland State Police Berlin Barracks Duty Officer reportedly subsequently contacted the Louisiana authorities who subsequently located and placed Flawd in custody. Due to Flawds' previous charges and violent history, the Louisiana authorities allegedly utilized their S.W.A.T. team to make the apprehension.
