Bicyclist Succumbs To Injuries After June 1st Crash Near Denton

DENTON, Md. - A Denton man has died, after being hit by a car while riding his bicycle earlier in June.

Maryland State Police - Easton say on June 1st, around 1:15 PM, Margaret Satterfield was driving a Lincoln Town Car on Route 328, in the area of Saulsbury Road, near Denton. According to the report, Satterfield veered off the road, onto the shoulder, and hit Keyworth Birch, of Denton, who was riding a bicycle.

Police say birch was ejected from his bike during the impact. Birch was air-lifted to Baltimore Shock Trauma, where he later succumbed to his injuries. Satterfield was taken to Easton Memorial for minor injuries.

The MSP Crash team is reportedly still investigating the collision.
