FELTON, Del. - One person is dead, and two more injured, after a single vehicle crash in Felton on Monday morning.

Delaware State Police say around 12:55 AM, 21-year-old Rodolfo Martinez, of Virginia, was driving a 2001 Ford F-150 pick-up truck on Midstate Road, near Scrap Tavern Road. According to the report, for unknown reasons Martinez drove off the road, hit a mailbox, and continued into a wheat field, where the truck overturned multiple times before stopping.

A passenger, 15-year-old Rene Martinez Jr., of Milford was reportedly ejected from the truck during the crash. Police say he was not wearing a seat belt. A second passenger, 41-year-old Rene Martinez-Velazquez, of Frederica, was air-lifted from the scene to Christiana Medical Center, where he was treated for injuries found to be non-life threatening.

The driver, Martinez, was removed from the truck by EMS, and taken to Kent General Hospital, before being transferred to Christiana Medical Center, where he is currently admitted in serious, but stable condition. He was apparently wearing a seat belt.
