Wicomico Co. Dpt. Of Works Spring Paving Schedule

Posted: Updated:

WICOMICO CO., Md. - The Wicomico County Department of Public Works says residents can now view the spring 2014 County roads resurfacing schedule online.

According to reports, the project list, a total of 9.5 miles, includes winter-damaged roads as well as roads previously scheduled for maintenance. This year, Wicomico County reportedly received a one-time grant in the amount of $300,000 from the Maryland Department of Transportation to fix roads damaged by the unusually harsh winter. Officials say total cost for the Spring Paving project is approximately $1.35 million.

Citizens can also report a pothole or other County road concern via the county's website, by clicking on Submit A Request and filling out the RequestTracker form. Mobile device users, once safely pulled over, can easily upload a photo of the damaged area and attach it to the request.

WASHINGTON (AP) - The Obama administration will offer a new accommodation to religious nonprofits that object to covering birth control for their employees. The measure allows those groups to notify the government, rather than their insurance company, that birth control violates their religious beliefs.
