National Pro Fast Pitch Comes Delmarva

Posted: Updated:

Salisbury, MD -- The 2014 National Pro Fastpitch season is now underway and some of the biggest names in women's softball were on hand right here in Delmarva.

The USSSA Pride defeated the Pennsylvania Rebellion 2-1 on Friday at Arthur W. Perdue Stadium.

Top of the first, bases loaded, Rebellion BB Bates reached first after a dropped ball and Jenn Salling would score.

Score remained the same until bottom of the third, Andrea Duran scored after Brigette Del Ponte grounded out.

Game tied 1-1 coming in to the bottom of the sixth. A sacrifice fly by Kelly Kretschman brought in Kristyn Sandberg to score.

A great night for Pride pitcher Cat Osterman. She had 15 strikeouts, two hits and five walks over seven innings.

Next game is Saturday night at Perdue Stadium.

First pitch is set for 7:05PM.
