UPDATE: Pastor Called As Witness During Bodenweiser Trial

Posted: Updated:

GEORGETOWN, Del. - Opening statements, and one witness have wrapped up in the trial of former Delaware State Senate candidate Eric Bodenweiser, who is accused of sexually molesting a young boy more than 20 years ago. The first and only witness of the day to take the stand on Friday afternoon, was a Pastor that Bodenweiser reportedly confessed to.

47 ABC's Jarred Hill is there, and has the latest. He says opening statements were very detailed and graphic. The defense is denying all allegations but one, admitting that Bodenweiser did in fact play pornography for the victim.

The defense attorney alleges that Bodenweiser then left the room. In an attempt to discredit the victim, they said the he could have left the room at any time, but didn't. The judge expects the trial to go on for at least two weeks.

On Thursday, jury selection was completed, with an outcome of a total of 12 jurors: 5 men and 7 women. Four other alternates were also selected, all who are women.

We'll have more from inside the courtroom tonight on 47 ABC news at 6.
