Posted: Updated:

SALISBURY, Md. - Police have located, and arrested a man accused of shooting a woman in the buttocks on Wednesday morning.

Salisbury Police say on Thursday, members of the Maryland State Apprehension Team found 63-year-old Robert Johnson, in a wooded area of Jersey Road, and took him into custody. Hawkins was charged with attempted 1st and 2nd degree murder, assault 1st and 2nd degree, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person. He was then released to the custody of Central Booking.

The charges stem from an incident that happened just before 3:30 AM on May 28th, where 23-year-old Sharrelle Cole was waking on W. Main Street and was apparently shot once in the buttocks. Cole was rushed to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, where she is reportedly still listed in stable condition.
