Dover Police Investigating Sunday Night Shooting

DOVER, Del. - The victim of a Sunday night shooting in Dover, is apparently not cooperating with the Police's investigation.

Dover Police say Officers responded to North New Street and Division Street around 11:15 PM, where the a male was apparently confronted by an unknown black male suspect who pulled out a handgun and demanded money. The victim reportedly grabbed the gun, and struggled with the suspect during which the suspect started firing numerous times.

Police say the victim was hit in the leg, but was able to get away, and into a nearby residence to call 911. The suspect reportedly fled with an unknown amount of cash.

The victim was rushed to Kent General Hospital, where he was treated for a leg wound, and later released. Police say the victim has been uncooperative with their efforts in the investigation.
