Camden Man Arrested For Arson

CAMDEN, Del. - A man has been arrested on Arson related charges in Kent County.

The fires were reported Tuesday shortly before 1:30AM on the 100 block of Loretta Drive. The Camden-Wyoming Fire Co. responded to the call and arrived with flames and smoke coming from a one story home and two vehicles parked nearby. Crews were able to get the fire under control at 1:52AM. Damage to the house and vehicles caused approximately $60,000 in damage and no injuries were reported.

After an investigation, Deputy Fire Marshal's linked 38-year-old Courtney Goode Jr. to the fires. He was being held on charges related to a domestic dispute that occurred prior to the Arsons. Goode was charged with three felony counts of Arson 2nd and one felony count of Burglary 2nd, and was  committed to JTVCC in lieu of $34,000 cash bail.
