REHOBOTH, Del. - A Rehoboth couple is now behind bars after a fire broke out in their apartment from a reported meth lab.

According to reports, around 8:00 PM Monday night, Delaware State Police and local fire departments responded to the Beach Haven Apartment complex on the 35000 block of Haven Drive in Rehoboth for a reported fire. Soon after that call, police say a domestic dispute was reported in the parking lot of the apartment complex, with the male suspect, later identified as Eric Marine, 37, of Rehoboth, fleeing the scene. Once troopers arrived, reports say they were given a description of the suspect and, after a brief search, they were able to take him into custody.

At the time of his arrest, Marine allegedly was in possession of a hypodermic needle, seven Clonazepam pills, two Tramadol pills, two Prazonsin pills, one Norvir, two Bromocriptine pills, three Pramipexole Dihydrochloride pills, and one Lyrica pill.

Police say the other occupant of the apartment complex, identified as Susan Trudeau, 54, of Rehoboth, was safely outside the building and reportedly being treated by EMS.

Reports say an investigation by the State Fire Marshal's Office determined the fire started in a spare bedroom where equipment and component mixtures of meth along with key ingredients in making the drug were found.

Both Marine and Trudeau were reportedly decontaminated by Sussex County Paramedic's DECON team and were then transported to Beebe Medical Center before being released without any life-threatening injuries. Reports say they have both been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy 2nd, operating a clandestine lab and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Police say Marine is additionally charged with possession of a non-controlled substance without a prescription, possession of a schedule four narcotic and possession of a schedule five narcotic.

Marine is being held on $30,750 bond and Trudeau is being held on $30,700 bond.

Early Tuesday morning, police tell 47 ABC that DNREC conducted an air quality check and residents that were evacuated during the fire and clean up were allowed back into the building.
