REHOBOTH, Del. - Delaware State Police are asking for the public's help with a hit-and-run investigation in Rehoboth.

The incident happened Monday around 1:17PM. Delaware State Police say 70-year-old Victor Epolito of Milton was riding his bicycle eastbound along the shoulder of Holland Glade Road just east of Coastal Highway, when he was struck from behind by a vehicle. The impact caused him to be tossed from his bike onto the road. The vehicle failed to stop, continuing to travel eastbound.

Epolito was transported to Beebe Medical Center where he is being treated for serious but non-life-threatening injuries. At the moment there is no description of the vehicle or the driver. If anyone has any information regarding this incident, you're urged to call Trooper R. Sendrick at 302-644-5020 ext. 264 or Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
