Two Boaters Found Dead Off Kent Island

KENT ISLAND, Md. - Two men in their twenties were found dead Saturday morning after an overnight boating trip.

Maryland Natural Resources Police tell 47 ABC that Joshua Jon Rediger, 22, of Chester, and Robert Taylor Morelli, 23, of Stevensville left from Kent Island in the Cloverfield area around 7:00 p.m. Friday night and were headed for Eastern Neck Island.

The two men reportedly left Eastern Neck shortly before 6:30 a.m. and were reported overdue to MD Natural Resources Police around 10 a.m.

NRP immediately launched a search and located the swamped boat around 11 a.m. and found the two bodies minutes later not far away.

Both men were reportedly wearing life jackets.
