The Salisbury University softball team remained undefeated in the NCAA Division III Softball Championship with a 5-0 win vs. Wisonsi-Whitewater.
Sea Gulls (42-3) advance to the semifinals on Sunday. Salisbury grabbed the 1-0 lead in the first when Paige Knussman ripped a stand up double to right, scoring Kim Dorsey. Rachel Johnson would then control the game, pitching a complete game shut out, 6 hitting while striking out 10. Rebecca
Hoey then sent a three run homer to center pushing the lead to 5-0 at that point.
the win, Salisbury advances to the semifinal round which will not
happen until Sunday at 1 p.m., eastern time. The Sea Gulls will take on
of an elimination game between No. 12 Montclair State University and No.
13 University of St. Thomas (Minn.), which Salisbury defeated, 1-0, in
each team's first game of the tournament.
