Nandua MS Student Arrested After Allegedly Tainting Teachers Drink

ACCOMACK CO., Va. - A middle school student in Accomack County, has been charged, after she apparently tainted a drink of her teacher.

The Accomack County Sheriff's Office says they received a call shortly after 10:00 PM on May 13th, for reports that a Nandua Middle School teacher had become ill after drinking water that she had left unattended in her classroom. The teacher was then taken to Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital, where she was treated and later released.

Police say their investigation identified a 13-year-old female Nandua Middle School student. On May 20th, the suspect was arrested, charged with adulteration of food, drink, drugs, cosmetics, etc., and taken to the Norfolk Juvenile Detention Center.
