#2 Cape Cruises Past Brandywine, Advances To Round 2

Lewes, DE.- The #2 Cape Henlopen Vikings wasted no time hoping on the #13 Brandywine Bulldogs, in the opening round of the Delaware DIAA Lacrosse Championship Tournament.

The Vikings got off to an early start scoring the first three goals of the game. Brandywine would respond to make the score 4-1 about mid way thru the first quarter. The Vikings held a 7-2 lead at the end of the first quarter. Luke Benson and Blake Mann led the charge as Cape would take a 10-2 advantage into the half. The Vikings went on to score seven unanswered, cruising to a 17-2 final.

Cape Henlopen will host 7th seed Archmere Academy Saturday in round two of the tourney, game starts at 5 p.m. at Legends Stadium in Lewes.
