Ravens Mascot Stops By Wicomico Elementary School To Celebrate "Play 60"

Posted: Updated:

QUANTICO, Md. - Our Good News is out of Quantico Maryland, where some students got a visit from a special visitor...

Poe, the mascot for the Baltimore Ravens, stopped by Westside Primary School Monday morning to celebrate the school's Fuel Up To Play 60 "Touchdown Status" as a stand-out school.

Poe got the kids up and moving, doing some of their favorite dance moves.

We asked their phys ed teacher about how the NFL sponsored program has impacted her students.

"Our students at Westside Primary school are so much more excited about moving," says Marianne Noelte, Physical Education teacher at Westside Primary, "they tell me about the activities they do as a family over the weekends...when they competed at run-or-dye or when they go on walks with their family."

This visit was actually pretty special, most Touchdown schools are high schools.
