Traffic Stop Leads To Drug Arrest In Berlin

Posted: Updated:

BERLIN, Md. - Maryland State Police say a traffic stop yesterday led to a drug arrest.

According to reports, just before midnight, a trooper observed a vehicle traveling above the posted speed limit of 30 miles per hour which was confirmed by his radar unit to be 38 miles per hour. The trooper reportedly conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle.

Police say upon approach of the vehicle, the trooper detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. A probable cause search was reportedly conducted and suspected marijuana was located on Drequan Savage, Jahad Triggs and Devin Bryant.

Police say all subjects were brought to the Maryland State Police Berlin Barrack, processed, and released on criminal citations.
