SU Men's Lacrosse Pound Denison, Advance To Final Four

Posted: Updated:
SALISBURY, Md. – The No. 2 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team advanced to the NCAA Division III Final Four with a 15-5 win over Denison in the quarterfinals Wednesday night.

Denison was the first on the board, scoring at the 13:55 mark, but it was all Salisbury from there. Mike Kane was unstoppable early as he scored three of the Sea Gulls first 5 goals, helping them to a 8-1 half time lead. The defense completely locked down any Big Red attack the first half, and was dominate for most the game.

In the second half, the Sea Gulls would continue to push as Rhett DePol found his grove, netting a pair. The balance though was the key for Salisbury, as they 7 different players scored.

The Sea Gulls now look forward to the semifinal round on Sunday, going up against No. 5 Washington (Md.) College; the time and place are to be announced.
