GEORGETOWN, Del. - A Delaware inmate who reportedly tried to escape during a work detail on Wednesday morning, is back in custody.

The Department of Corrects says 19-year-old Aaron Jenkins, of Seaford, an offender from the Sussex Community Corrections Center, was seen running away from his work crew around 9:30 AM, near the Delaware State Police Troop 4 building, in Georgetown. Jenkins was reportedly apprehended by Police, before noon.

Jenkins was being held at SCCC, since late February, on a probation violation, of his original charge of criminal trespassing. He is now back in the custody of the Department of Corrections.
