CAMBRIDGE, Md. - Two Cambridge men are behind bars, after allegedly attempting to rob a convenience store in Cambridge.

The Cambridge Police Department says Officers responded to the Chicken Man on Washington Street, around 8:20 PM on Friday, for a reported robbery. An investigation showed that a male walked into the store, and claimed to be armed with a gun, then demanded money from the register. According to the report, the cashier refused, and the suspect fled the store.

Witnesses reportedly told Police that the suspect got into an awaiting vehicle nearby, with a second suspect driving. Police reportedly found the suspect vehicle on High Street in Cambridge, with 24-year-old Terenzo Jones driving, and 61-year-old Paul Simpson, as a passenger.

Both were arrested, and charged with attempted armed robbery, attempted robbery, first and second degree assault, reckless endangerment, and conspiracy. Jones is being held on $250,000 bond, and Simpson without bond. Police say no one was injured during the incident.
