WORCESTER CO., Md. - A Berlin man was arrested, after an investigation into the distribution of child pornography from a Berlin home.

The Worcester County Bureau of Investigation says on Monday, they arrested 21-year-old Jose Lopez, and charged him with six counts of promoting and distributing child pornography, six counts of possession of child pornography, and one counts of possession and distribution of obscene matter.

The charges stem from a several months long investigation, that reportedly showed that someone inside Lopez's Pin Oak Drive home was sharing and downloading pictures and videos of child pornography. According to the report, the investigation lead Officials to search the home, where they seized numerous computers and other related items. Police say they found that Lopez was the sole user of those items, which lead to his arrest.

After his arrest, Lopez posted a $50,000 bond, and was released.

Department of Homeland Security, Office of the State's Attorney for Worcester County and the Worcester County Sheriff's Office all assisted in the April 17th search of the home.
