LOUISVILLE, Ky. –
Six Salisbury University softball players were honored for their incredible performance on the field as they were named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association
All-Atlantic Region Team.
Salisbury had four first-team members with the junior battery of Rachel
Johnson and Rebecca Hoey claiming the top honor along with sophomores Paige
Knussman and Kim Dorsey.
Sophomore Katie Sebbane was named to the second
team and senior Harley Hill earned third-team accolades.
Johnson has been dominate on the mound this year, building a 22-3 record. and recording 6 no hitters. Knussman leads the team and ranks fourth
with a .536 batting average as she had a 24-game hitting streak earlier
this year and has been held without a hit just twice this season.
Sea Gulls will play Manhattanville College in the Salisbury, Maryland
Regional championship game on Sunday, May 11, looking to make the next
in the NCAA tournament.
