SALISBURY, Md. - Folks out in Salisbury were working for a great cause Saturday.
Realtors from Caldwell Banker collected donations for the Maryland Food Bank.
Thought of mainly during the holidays, the food bank distributes food to other, smaller organizations year round, despite not as many donations coming in during the warmer months.
"The shelves are really bare during the summer, and when the children get out of school, so this will restock," says Greg Erdie, with Caldwell Banker.
The group is hoping to collect 2000 pounds of food by Monday.
All of which will benefit the Maryland food bank and families here on Delmarva.
