Salisbury, MD.- The No. 2 Salisbury University men's lacrosse team advanced to the quarterfinal round of the NCAA Division III tournament, defeating York College of Pennsylvania, 12-6 at Sea Gull Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
The Sea Gulls opened the game on a 3-1 run, started off by a goal by senior Donovan Lange. The Spartans came to play though, and would tie the game at 5-5 with two minutes to go before half. The experienced Sea Gulls squad would answer with a goal of their own just before the break to take a slim 6-5 lead to half.
Second half was a completely different story though, as Salisbury dominated the play. The defense stepped up and limited York to just one goal, while the offense exploded for 6 more goals, sealing the 12-6 win.
