Salisbury Invites Residents To Bike To Work Week Event

SALISBURY, Md. - One local city's leaders are asking residents to go green on their commute. May 12th through 16th is National Bike to Work Week, and The City of Salisbury's leaders are hosting a kick-off event on Monday evening, at 5:00 PM.

Grab your bike and helmet and meet Mayor Jim Ireton and Council President Jake Day at the parking lot of the Salisbury University's Philosophy House, near the corner of Camden and West College Avenues. The ride will follow the orange route, ending at the Government Building on N. Division Street.

The free ride, is open to all riders over the age of 12, but officials warn it is in open traffic, and ask riders to be courteous and follow the rules of the road. Any questions about the event can be directed via email to Matt Drew, Bike-SBY, at matt@bike-SBY.org.
